Of-Counsel Edmond F. "Buddy" Noel, Jr. has practiced law for over thirty-five years. During that time, he has handled matters involving many different areas of commercial litigation, from general contract law to fraud to quiet title and other real estate disputes, and virtually all areas of employment law, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, sexual harassment, wage-hour dsiputes and affirmative action. Mr. Noel has conducted jury trials and appeals in state and federal courts, representing companies of all sizes as well as individuals. In 1977, Mr. Noel became the first African American partner in Holme, Roberts & Owen, or for that matter, among the 17th Street Law Firms of Denver. Thereafter, Mr. Noel was a partner at Sherman & Howard, working primarily in the area of employment law, advising sophisticated corporate clients in both business and employment matters. Mr. Noel has served on the boards of some of Colorado's most significant institutions, giving him unique experience to enable him to examine commercial issues from both a business and legal perspective. Just a few examples of this experience include serving as the CEO of the Colorado Sports Council, the President of the State Board of Agriculture, and serving on the Board of Directors of United Banks of Auroora and Monaco, Banc One Colorado Corp., and Bank One Denver. He also served on the Governor's Blue Ribbon Panel, the Colorado Economic Development Commission and the Colorado Regulatory Review Commission to name but a few. Mr. Noel is now providing his vast experience and abilities to the clients of Godfrey & Lapuyade, P.C. as Of-Counsel to the firm. |
