Medical Expertise — Continuously Refined

Several of our practice areas demand extensive medical knowledge. Medical device and pharmaceutical litigation, malpractice and bioscience intellectual property, not to mention personal injury cases: each of these fields can involve as much medicine as law. To possess this knowledge, most of our attorneys continue ongoing study of orthopedics, neurology, pharmacology, and other life sciences. We also have access to a comprehensive collection of research tools for specific issues.

  Hospital Protocols

We've represented patients, doctors and hospitals, including malpractice claims, nursing home claims, employment contract claims, service provider contract disputes, and staff privilege disputes. We've advised hospitals on how to improve risk management procedures and documentation, and we've represented patients in connection with claims that involve those same issues.

Clinical Trials & IRBs
We understand the complexities of the FDA approval process for drugs and medical devices, and the legal issues, including conflicts-of-interest, informed consent and adverse incident reporting requirements. We are very experienced in litigating pharmaceutical product liability and drug patent cases, including Multi-District Litigation of medical device and pharmaceutical cases.
