Mr. Lapuyade has more than 25 years of trial experience. He frequently serves as arbitrator and mediator. He is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell's Peer Review Rating System (the highest attorney rating available). He was listed by Denver's 5280 Magazine as a Top Colorado Super Lawyer in 2007 and 2008.

Mr Lapuyade has extensive litigation experience in State and Federal courts, as well as arbitration and mediation. He frequently serves as an arbitrator, sought by parties to resolve disputes that conventional arbitrators find impossible to resolve due to the specialized relationships between the parties or complexity of insurance issues.

Mr. Lapuyade is able to combine his unique knowledge of insurance law and bad faith with his extensive medical understanding to be of particular value in medical malpractice litigation, and often brings this special skill-set to bear in the personal representation of physicians and attorneys for purposes of establishing their rights with respect to their insurance coverage.

Experience includes estate and fiduciary litigation, medical malpractice, product liability, bad faith, personal injury, premises liability and alternative dispute resolution.

Mr. Lapuyade is a frequent lecturer in for-credit continuing legal education and private seminars on issues relating to litigation, estate litigation, and ethics. He provides consultation in risk management and strategic business planning.
